4 tips to help your dry hands
1) use cuticle oil regularly
If you aren’t in the routine of applying cuticle oil to your nails before bedtime, now is a great time to start! Our almond cuticle oil helps keep your skin & nail bed moisturized & healthy. Reducing hangnails and keeping them from becoming dry and brittle. Leaving your nails and cuticles feeling renewed. AND it comes with a reminder of Psalm 23:3 – “He renews my strength.”
2) swap your harsh, toxic lotions
Avoid lotions that contain sulphates and parabens.
❌sulphates break off the natural protective layer of your skin. parabens are actually useful in preventing bacteria and fungus growing in lotions, etc. However, they are also linked to hormone disruption and breast cancer. When reading a label, look out for butylparaben, isobutylparaben, methylparaben, propylparaben, or ethylparaben. Vitamin e & citric acid are a safer ingredients to keep products fungus-free.
✅look for lotions that include ingredients like: shea butter, olive oil, almond oil, vitamin E, vitamin D. Or even try just straight aloe! The humectants in aloe vera moisturizes the skin and stimulates collagen!
3) replace your acetone polish remover
You know the feeling… your nails feel dry and brittle after using acetone to remove your nail polish. Acetone is terrible to inhale, and it’s very harsh to your skin and nails. Mixed with the dry air of winter, you’re in a lose-lose situation.
We’ve created a polish remover that’s not just acetone-free but also alcohol-free to be as gentle on your hands and nails as possible. Our two main ingredients are derived from sugar cane and sunflower seed oil. Our formula also includes sweet almond oil which protects your nails from peeling, cracking, and dryness. Leaving your nails feeling healthy, stronger, moisturized, and refreshed.
