7 things all great friendships have in common

1) kindness
be kind and compassionate to one another. Ephesians 4:32

2) listening
my dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. James 1:19

3) forgiveness
be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 (same verse, different translation. because it’s so good.)

4) encouragement
therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

5) patience
be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2

6) empathy
rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15

7) selflessness
value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but to the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-4
